Over the years, Kinslagher has become one of the Chicago area’s “birder bars.” We have helped support the American Birding Association (ABA) in the past, most notably in 2020, and we’re at it again.

Each year the ABA selects a bird of the year to celebrate and spotlight. For 2024, the ABA has chosen the Golden-winged Warbler—a beautiful bird that can be seen right here in the Midwest—as its Bird of the Year!

To celebrate all this, our friend, famed Chicago artist Tony Fitzpatrick, has created this remarkable composition that graces the cans of this limited release. Chicago, meet Gold Wing!

This crisp and clean-finishing Pilsner has a slightly lemony aroma that feels like spring. And it’s here just in time to welcome back to the Midwest the Golden-winged Warblers that have spent the winter in the tropics.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this beer will benefit the ABA.

The ABA is a nonprofit organization providing leadership to the birding community by increasing knowledge, skills, and the enjoyment of birding. Through their Travel and Young Birder programs, the ABA supports conservation and mentoring future generations.

Available in limited edition cans only, in our taproom, and at Bitter Pops in Chicago.
