The Kinslahger Taproom

Visit us in our tasting room and enjoy our beer at its freshest. Along with our flagship beers, we offer a rotating selection of seasonal and taproom only recipes,  and artisanal snacks. We are a BYOF (bring your own food) establishment, so if you are looking for something more substantial than our snacks, feel free to carry-in or order from the many restaurants close by.

We do not accept cash payments but happily accept all major credit and debit cards or use tap to pay on your phone.

The taproom is available for private events. Contact us to find out what kegs are available for purchase.

Our taproom hours are:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: CLOSED

  • Thursday: 5pm – 10pm

  • Friday: 5pm – 10pm

  • Saturday: 2pm – 10pm

  • Sunday: 2pm – 6pm

Our building was originally constructed in the 1920’s as a millinery shop and was later a Maytag store. We are fortunate that enough of the tin ceiling installed at that time survived many years of neglect to be restored for our enjoyment in the tasting room. Below the ceiling, our tasting room procedes forward with a strong nod to that bygone era, blended artfully with touches of modernity all done at the direction of Jef Anderson from Yearbook Studio in Oak Park.

Designed by our head brewer with the expert guidance of Oak Park resident Bill Scholtens’ Elements Architectural Group, our brewery is designed to maximize efficiency and production capacity in a narrow yet deep space. With the design complete, the services of another Oak Park resident, Rick Easty of Heartland Construction, were engaged to bring the vision into existence.
